Die Ver\u00e4nderung des K\u00f6rpers ist immer ein faszinierendes Thema f\u00fcr die Menschheit gewesen. Vor allem in der trans* Community wird dies stark behandelt, denn wie sich unser K\u00f6rper mithilfe von Hormontherapien und Operationen entwickelt, ist im st\u00e4ndigen Gespr\u00e4ch. In den letzen Jahren ist dieses Gespr\u00e4ch auch au\u00dferhalb der queeren Kreise und mehr in den Mainstream \u201ehin\u00fcbergeschwappt\u201c. Einerseits ist das sehr gut, da trans* Personen somit auch in den K\u00f6pfen der Allgemeinheit existieren und f\u00fcr einige nicht mehr wie Fabelwesen wirken, andererseits sind wir zum neuen S\u00fcndenbock der rechten Politik geworden.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Wie geht man damit um, wenn Gesetze und Menschen dir deine Daseinsberechtigung ausreden wollen? Wie kann man sich selbst als trans* Person und das eigene Leib lieben lernen, wenn man konstant verteufelt und besch\u00e4mt wird, auch innerhalb der LGBTQ+ Community?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In diesem k\u00fcnstlerischen Projekt befasse ich mich mit meiner Erfahrung als queerer trans Mann, die Entwicklung meines K\u00f6rpers mithilfe von Testosteron und wie sich mein Platz in der Gesellschaft durch diese Transformation redefiniert.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You are a festering wound that won’t shut close and I am\u2026
What am I?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surely not your daughter, but also not your son
because that you don’t allow yourself to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are we?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plastic in the sea?
A wish never mean to be?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You poison me.
Cyanide coated almonds I feed myself again and again
hoping I taste the difference between drupe and venom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I rarely do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So why should I choose you?
When the only thing is toxic blood functioning as our glue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your actions are no virtue.
Claiming nobody will ever truly love me
because of what you see as a flaw.
That should have been the final straw,
but once more I let myself bleed for the dream
of our relationship redrawn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sun and dawn.
At no time seeing eye to eye.
Dawn disappears when the sun is high up in the sky.
You want me to shrink myself and I can’t stop asking why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why when I know it doesn’t have to be this way?
Why would you let us decay?
It seems I’m just another cigarette stub in your ashtray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I still can’t stop asking myself why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My hands shape me like clay, tough at the beginning
but with patience and warmth
the base material becomes smooth and pliable,
welcoming transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am simultaneously artist as I am muse.
I am my own creator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I bare my teeth and I growl,
for every promise of a word
or a touch
could hurt.
could make me bleed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But oh how I wish I could show my belly.
In a dream world far away,
where every mouth and every hand
has gentle intentions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nonetheless, I am here and I am now.
So my guard won’t be let down
and I might bite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our community holds the warmth of a thousand stars
and pours it into every embrace, every syllable
and into every soft gaze.
We understand what it means to hurt,
so we laugh and cry and love together.
Finally feeling safe to be ourselves, we are divine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I grieve the child inside of you that isn’t allowed to love.
Not yourself, not anybody else.
You locked it somewhere deep within and are now forcing
what was once so innocent and full of love to throw stones at others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
