n his work Imprint of a… the artist Jacob Bartmann installs sculptures, which refer to building ceramics, on a books-, files- or goods shelf. The history of brick- and pottery production on the Wienerberg is closely intertwined with industrialization and its structural change. If we take a closer look, we come across a construct with many recesses. The structures, lying separately next to each other, encounter movements that are grasped and directed in one direction.

Jacob Bartmann is an artist, ceramist and art educator. He lives and works in Vienna and studies art and education and design in context at the academy of fine arts Vienna.
